Braveheart is as handsome as they come and has a wooly guy's pedigree to die for. He has the genetics to produce true black, dark red, and dark brown as well as extreme wool. He has a very sweet temperment and is ready to breed jennets. Braveheart is exceptionally well built and has a perfect bite.

His dam, a rare Fireman daughter, has produced some very small, very red, top notch donkeys. She has a dark red and very small jack son standing at TTW West Winds in IL. Ursula is also the dam of the second highest selling red jennet in the 2009 Ohio Sale. We expect Braveheart to be just as awesome.

His sire is the amazing spotted extreme wooly, Dr. Shivago, a Harry Houdini son by the incredible Venus la Rimsky-Korsakov. It just doesn't get better than this.

His foals will be distantly related enough to Harry Houdini foals and grand-foals that you can cross them and get some amazing wooly results. Also, for those in the UK, he has no inbreeding and an extensive pedigree so you can get your Stud Book registerable wooly stock by this boy.

Velvet is a very nice jennet with very wooly genetics on her dams side. She has produced jet black foals and can produce red as well. We are changing our herd to include exclusively extreme woolly and ivory jennets so Velvet is being offered. This girl is very nice and was hand picked during a visit to the Short's farm.

She is believed to be in foal to MGF Braveheart for an Oct 2010 foal. The resulting foal will be either dark brown, true black, or red from this cross. It also will more than likely be super wooly.

What a neat big wooly girl. She is super stocky with very thick leg bones and big feet just like a Poitou. You would never guess her to be a cross by looking at her. They say even a 1/8 Poitou cross will still look pure. Cross this girl with your large standard or mammoth jack for some really cool foals.

This stocky little boy is a rare one indeed. Loverboy looks as if he is going to be a super wooly donkey. He was born extra fuzzy all over and has the long hair in his ears that is characteristic of the woollies as well as super wooly legs. He gets this from the Arc Park Acres donkeys all over his dam's side. Plus he is an exotic ivory carrier and has strong genetics to produce real red and true black no cross from his dam. If you are interested in him as a stud let us know before we decide to keep him ourselves. We feel he will go brown. His legs are very dark and his coat is a very deep dark grayish brown. His sire has always thrown brown when bred to brown.

About our Donkey Sales

 

All of our donkeys are well socialized and handled daily.

They are all used to and good with our dogs, goats, cats, and chickens.

Our donkeys are all vaccinated annually, dewormed regularly, and have thier feet trimmed every 3 months (or more often if needed especially if young).

All donkeys sold for over $1500 will have a Coggins test and Health Certificate provided if needed.

We never breed jennets until they are at least 3 years old and we give them breaks when they need it.

Thier health and happiness is our top priority.

We will not sell donkeys to homes that do not have other animals for them to live with and much prefer to have them go to homes with at least one other donkey. They are much happier animals and better pets if they have a donkey friend.

All of our donkeys are sold with a new halter, lead rope, health records, transfer papers, information on how to care for your donkey(s), and assorted other donkey information.

We can accept payment plans and even Paypal (add 3% to sales price for Paypal payments).

A 20% deposit will hold your donkey for you. All donkeys must be paid for and picked-up within 3 months. If you opt out of a donkey sale within one week your deposit will be refunded. If you opt out after that your deposit can be credited toward another donkey for sale on the farm.

All donkeys must be paid for in full before leaving the farm. Personal checks must clear before they leave.

We will happily help you arrange for shipping nationally or internationally, but we do not provide shipping for you unless otherwise arranged. Shipping expenses are not our responsiblity.

If we do not have what you want we can either help you find your donkey(s) or you can be placed on our waiting list. Just let us know. We are always happy to help.

Visitors are always welcome. Just contact us for an appointment.

Questions are always welcome. We love to talk donkey...even if we don't sell ya' one :-)

We are pretty firm on our prices (our animals are worth what we ask), but we will often consider assorted trades too...for other animals, tack, farm equipment, etc.
